Salahedin Abd Ellatief Moussa Ibrahim from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA), Yasser Berzan and Ehab Saleh from ASHGHAL– Public Works Authority, and Alan Crawford from the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Qatar’s organising body for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

HSE Forum Qatar 2017

Highlights of the conference included the discussion of major improvements in applying and enforcing safety standards to comply with the country’s 2004 Labor Law, and the importance of workplace safety. The most sought-after subjects at the conference were ASHGHAL's third party approval list and the updated Qatar construction specification (QCS 2014).

Day 2 hosted a first-of-its-kind Mock Criminal Investigation Process. It was a fascinating session based around real-life cases handled by the firm’s workplace health and safety specialists. The session focused on the investigation process after a workplace injury or fatality. Two different scenarios were discussed to explain the legal perspective and consequences of poor awareness of site accident procedures and reporting obligations.
